Walter E. Guertler, Jr.

Walter E. Guertler Jr., passed away at home surrounded by family, November 15, 2019, at 79 years of age. He was foremost a family man, kind and caring. He is survived by his wife Sally, sons Walter and Jeff (Elvalicia), and six grand children Wyatt, Sean, Quinn, Mac, Joshua, and Abigail. He is also survived by his siblings Sally Farris, Marietta, William and John Guertler. In his professional career Walter was President and CEO of Systems Engineering in Stoughton MA, and an owner of Redlefsen's in Bristol. Walter loved Oktoberfest, and annually hosted one of the most unique cultural events in Rhode Island. He was an avid sailor on is "Wind Song", and a flag officer at the Barrington Yacht Club. His family is very grateful to his care givers who supported them from Hope & Hospice and the Cancer Center RIH.
