Obituary


Vernetta Williams, 93, of Manchester, NH died peacefully in her sleep November 9, 2022.   She was the wife of the late Thomas Williams.  Born and raised in Wisconsin, she spent most of her life in Barrington, RI before moving to New Hampshire.  
Vernetta was a woman of faith who sang in her church choir for many years.  In her working life, she was a secretary at various companies, including Citizen's Bank.  For hobbies,  she enjoyed reading, baking, sewing and playing bridge.

 
She is survived by two brothers and her three adult children; Janice, Brent and Wendy.


Visitation will be on Friday November 18, 2022 from 9:15 AM - 10:15 AM in the Smith – Mason Funeral Home, 398 Willet Ave., Riverside, RI 02915.  A funeral service will follow immediately after at 11:00 AM at St. James Lutheran Church, 49 Middle Highway, Barrington RI 02906..  Burial to follow in Prince’s Hill Cemetery in Barrington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. James Lutheran Church in Barrington, RI would be appreciated.
