Susan Farley Obituary

Our community lost a truly beautiful soul early Sunday January 17th when Susan  Farley peacefully passed away in her Barrington, RI home.  A lifelong Barrington resident, Sue was an extremely loving mother to 5 beautiful children; Claire Adamson 23, Grace Adamson 22, Caroline Adamson 20, Jonathan Adamson 18, and Hayden Farley 11. They have been Sue’s entire world from the moment they were born.

Her mother, Dorothy Yoreo, also of Barrington, cherished Sue every day. Dorothy raised Sue in Connecticut before moving to barrington in 197? where their lifelong bond endured.  Sue’s father, William Yoreo, resides in Connecticut. She also leaves behind her loving husband Kevin Farley. Friends of the couple are known to have said that Sue and Kevin shared a special love, palpable by those in its presence.

As a young child Sue would spend part of her summer in Nantucket with her mother Dorothy’s side of the family. She graduated from Barrington High School and went on to  achieve a Bachelor’s Degree in business from Bryant University.   After having her first baby, Sue stayed home to raise her children. She went on to become a personal trainer, collecting clients, before moving on as an educator at Lululemon.  She assisted in opening their first pop up store in Providence, held many roles within the company and became the inventory lead for their Garden City Center store.

Sue was passionate about  exercise and was a long time member of Healthtrax in East Providence. There, Sue became well known by gym employees and community members. If you ask anyone there they’d tell you she would spin circles around people in spin class.

While Sue had many joys in life, her true passion was always her children. There was nothing that made her more proud or gave her more joy, than the accomplishments of her children. She was at her happiest when all 5 of them were together with her.  Claire, Grace, Caroline, Jon and Hayden will carry on Sue’s legacy and honor her in everything they do.  It’s often said that nothing is as strong as a mother’s love, which holds true in the relationships she had with her children.
