Steven Santos, 67, of Riverside, passed away at home on April 2, 2023. A lifelong East Providence resident, he was the son of the late Edward and Martha Santos. He was the beloved husband of Kathleen (Clarke) Santos.
Steven was a graduate of East Providence High School, Providence College, and Bryant University, retiring from Lifespan Risk Services in 2020. He was a member of St. Brendan’s church where he served as a CYO advisor and Eucharistic Minister. He was active on the East Providence Republican City Committee for a number of years, and served on the East Providence School Committee from 2006-2010. He was currently a board member of Brewster Green Resort in Brewster, MA, where enjoyed spending time with family every July. He was a huge New England sports fan and was a Providence Bruins season ticket holder for many years.
Besides his wife of 45 years, he leaves 2 daughters, Stephanie (Vidyasagar) Sivalingam and Sharon (Mark) Leonard, as well as 3 grandchildren, Allston, Maggie, and Wyatt.
Calling hours are Friday April 14 from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM in the Smith-Mason Funeral Home, 398 Willett Avenue, Riverside, RI 02815. A funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday April 15, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St. Brendan’s Parish, 60 Turner Avenue, Riverside, RI 02915.
