Stephen B Blaydes

Stephen B Blaydes, 64, of Glenrose Dr Riverside, passed away on January 7, 2025, surrounded by his loving family and friends at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence.

Born in Providence, the son of Elizabeth M (Flynn) Blaydes of Riverside and the late Clarence H Blaydes Jr. Stephen was a lifelong resident of Riverside.

Stephen enjoyed carpentry, mechanics, motorcycling, shooting and computers. He naturally excelled at everything he did.

Besides his mother, Stephen is survived by his four children, Stephen Blaydes, Brittany Coyle, Scott Blaydes all of Holden Massachusetts, and Elizabeth Blaydes of Martha’s Vineyard, and by four siblings Judith Blaydes and her partner Al McMahon of Riverside, Jean Mann and her husband Wayne of Providence, John Blaydes of East Providence, and Robert Blaydes of Riverside, and by five grandchildren Chase Coyle, Kanon Coyle, Lila Coyle, Harlow Hannah and Colt Hannah. As well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, friends, and his cat Sophie.

Calling hours will be Monday January 20, 2025 from 8:30 AM - 10:00 AM at the Smith-Mason Funeral Home 398 Willett Ave Riverside, RI 02915, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan's Church, 60 Turner Ave Riverside, RI 02915 at 10:30 AM.
