Lewis, Ruth M. , 81, formerly of Riverside died Wednesday. She was the wife of the late Robert Lewis. Born in East Providence a daughter of the late Richard and Dorothy (Rogers) Leonard she lived in Riverside most of her life. She was a communicant of St. Matthew and Mark Church in Barrington, formerly St. Mark’s Church in Riverside where she was active in many roles. Ruth worked at Hospital Trust Bank from 1956 to 1960. Earlier she had been a Girl Scout Leader. She leaves two daughters, Barbara Hoskin (Todd) of Riverside, Judith Ouellette (David) of East Providence, a brother Robert Leonard of AZ, a sister Barbara Duggan of Riverside, several nieces and nephews and two granddaughters, Judith Hoskin of NH and Sarah Ouellette of East Providence. She was also the sister of the late Richard Leonard Jr. The funeral will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM in Sts. Matthew and Mark Church, 5 Chapel Road Barrington with Burial in Swan Point Cemetery in Providence. Calling hours are Tuesday from 4 to 7 PM in the Smith-Mason Funeral Home 398 Willett Avenue Riverside In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Sts. Matthew and Mark Church would be appreciated.
