Corkhum, Roberta B. of Apple Tree Lane Barrington died Thursday November 19th at RI Hospital in Providence. She was the beloved wife of William R. Corkhum for 64 years. She was born in Newark DE a daughter of the late Claude and Marion Benner. She graduated from Tower Hill School in Wilmington, DE and Syracuse University with a BA in Political Science and Economics. She was a communicant of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Barrington, was a member of the Barrington Garden Club and a former member of the Barrington Yacht Club. Besides her husband she leaves a son, Geoffrey B. Corkhum of Charlotte, NC, a daughter Carol Edwards of Westerly and two grandchildren. She was also the mother of the late Russell B. Corkhum and sister of the late Richard and Claude Benner. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 10 AM in St. John’s Episcopal Church 191 County Road Barrington. Burial will be in Forest Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial Contributions to St. John’s Church would be appreciated.
