DiMarco, Rino P., 78 of Middle Highway, Barrington passed away surrounded by his loving family on October 4, 2015. He was the adoring husband of Priscilla (Horne) DiMarco for 51 years. He was the son of the late Pietro Giovanni DiMarco and Argene Tomei DiMarco and the brother of the late Doris Pezzullo.
He is survived by his wife Priscilla; his two children, Peter DiMarco of Barrington and Gail (DiMarco) Pergine, wife of Michael Pergine of Collegeville, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren, Baylee and Mason DiMarco and Maya and Joshua Pergine; and many close nieces and nephews.
Rino was a graduate of Barrington High School and Bryant University. He worked for many years for the RI Department of Education and had his own accounting practice. He was a member of the US Army Reserves.
Rino was a lifelong resident of Barrington. He was instrumental in bringing Pop Warner Football to Barrington and was a coach, board member and RI Pop Warner league commissioner. He served on the board of tax review in Barrington for over 25 years He was a member of the West Barrington Men’s Club, the St. Luke’s Golf League and the Barrington YMCA.
Rino was well loved by those who knew him and made friends easily wherever he went. He was larger than life and kind and compassionate. He loved football, golf, tennis and traveling, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends. His four grandchildren were the light of his life. He will be greatly missed.
Visiting hours are Friday, October 9th from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Smith-Mason Funeral Home,398 Willett Avenue, East Providence. The funeral will be held Saturday, October 10th at 10:30 am at St. Luke’s Church, 108 Washington Rd., Barrington. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society 222 Richmond Street, Suite 200 Providence, RI 02903 or Barrington Pop Warner Football PO Box 192 Barrington, RI 02806.
