Philip (“Phil”) Mello, 25, of Riverside, died unexpectedly on October 16, 2022. He was born on January 10, 1997 in Providence, Rhode Island. Phil attended East Providence High School and graduated from MTTI Technical School. He was employed at Tasca Ford in Seekonk, MA as an Automotive Technician. Phil loved his family, spending time with his friends, and his dogs Preston and Brooklyn. Phil loved his cars, riding his quad, and playing his PS4. He played hockey as a youth, loved watching the Patriots, and was an avid car enthusiast. Phil was definitely a momma’s boy in every way.
Phil is survived by: his parents, Brenda Lister and Richard Mello, his sister, Alexandra Lister, his niece, Riley Lynch, and his brother-in-law, Robert Lynch. Phil was the nephew of Brian and Carla Mello, Scott Mello, Jessica St. Angelo, Bonnie and Sherburne Cameron, Beverly and Douglas Haley, Brooke McGregor, Walter Barlow, and the late Major Alister McGregor. Grandson to Richard and Beverly Lister, Sharon Mello, and Richard Antunes. Great Grandson to Muriel Pennachio and the late Robert Cooke.
His friends want you to know that he leaves behind 6 cars, a bunch of friends and no room in the garage for his dad. As long as Phil had his air fryer and his friends, he was a happy man. If you ever needed a friend to be there or save you in a time of need, you called Phil. He always found a way to lighten the mood when you were struggling. Phil was always the most welcoming man in the room with the most infectious laugh.
Please join us for a celebration of Phil’s life on Saturday, October 29, 2022 between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. at Rose Larisa Memorial Park, 753 Bullocks Point Ave, Riverside.
In lieu of flowers, a scholarship fund will be established at MTTI in Phil’s name to help an individual that shares his passion for cars.
