Paul "Red" Dupont Sr.

Paul Dupont, Sr. (Red), a lifelong resident of Riverside, passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at the Linn Health Care Center. He was the husband of the late Mildred (Mello) Dupont. Born in Central Falls, RI he was a son of the late Victor and Maria (Van Thyune) Dupont. He is survived by one son, Paul Dupont, Jr. of Riverside. He was the father of the late Alan Dupont. Paul worked as a tool maker for Spiedel, for many years before retiring. He served in the United States Coast Guard during the Korean War.  He loved sports; he was an avid Patriots, Red sox, Boston Bruins and Boston Celtics fan. He enjoyed fishing and boating on Narragansett Bay. Paul also enjoyed painting and loved the outdoors. He was a past member of the American Legion Post 10 and Amvets. He was also a member of the International Association of Machinists and Arrow space workers.

A Funeral Service with military honors will be held Tuesday August 6, 2019 at 10:00 in the Smith-Mason Funeral Home, 398 Willett Avenue, Riverside, RI. Calling Hours will be held Monday August 5, 2019 from 5-7:00 PM in the Smith-Mason Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
