Patricia S. (Swanson) Koehne

Patricia J. (Swanson) Koehne, born April 26, 1936, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2024. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, cherished for her warm heart and nurturing spirit.

Patricia graduated from Colt Memorial High School in 1954 and furthered her education at Rhode Island College, graduating in 1958. That same year, she and Robert R. Koehne married.  They spent 64 beautiful years together, living in Bristol for 30 years and later settling in Riverside. Pat was often found with a book in hand, solving puzzles or baking, but above all, her greatest joy was the time spent with her expansive family.
She was a devout Christian; a dedicated member of the Barrington Baptist Church for over 50 years, many of them spent as a Sunday school teacher. She was an active member of the Rebekahs, holding multiple offices over the years.

Patricia leaves behind a loving family: her sons, Robert Koehne of N. Providence, RI, David Koehne of Robbinston, Maine, and Mark Koehne (Debbie) of Uxbridge, Massachusetts; daughters, Susan Koehne (Tammy) of Silver Spring, Maryland, Jennifer Devesin (Jean-Patrick) of Brooklyn, New York, and Katherine Gifford (Doug) of Winfield, Missouri; and a legacy of love that extends through numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert, and her son, Richard.

Her life will be celebrated in the hearts of those she touched, and her memory will live on as a beacon of familial devotion and kindness.
