Samways, Mildred C., 97, of East Bay Manor died on Saturday. She was the beloved wife of the late Alfred J. Samways for 63 years. Born in Rumford, she was the daughter of the late Walter & Ellen (Keighley) Cousins. Millie worked in the offices of the former Outlet Company before retiring, was a member of the Rumford Grange and a lifelong member of Newman Congregational Church. She was a resident of Seekonk, where she raised her 3 children, for 57 years.

Millie leaves a son, Peter Samways (Maureen) of Portsmouth, two daughters, Marcia Trahan (Ronald) of Medfield, MA, Deborah Blake (Steven) of Hopkinton, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a sister, Helen Swanson and brother, Raymond Cousins.

The funeral will be private and burial will be in Swan Point Cemetery. The family is most grateful for the tender care shown by the staff at East Bay Manor.
