Bettencourt, Mildred  A., 94, of Port Charlotte, FL;  formerly  a long time resident of Barrington, RI, passed away on Saturday August 8, 2020 at the Consulate Health Care of Port Charlotte. She was the wife of the late Frank Bettencourt. Born in Central Falls, RI she was a daughter of the late Emma Hurtubise.  Mildred worked as the Head Cook for the Barrington School Department. She also was the State President of Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary and a former member of the Barrington Senior Center.

She is survived by her daughter Kathy Almeida of Barrington and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Frank Bettencourt. Funeral services will be private.
