Michael A. Medeiros, 57, of Cranston, passed away on October 22, 2015,with his loving family by his side.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late James and Laura (Marques) Medeiros of Swansea. Michael was a graduate of East Providence High School
and worked a wide variety of jobs including roofing, drilling, mechanics, and a fisherman. He also spent many years working for Watkins Trucking Co. as a dock worker. He retired from MTG
Disposal where he was a picker. Michael was the beloved longtime companion of the late Lorren Lepore (Paolino) of Cranston. He leaves his daughter Ashlee Medeiros of Johnston and his wife Nancy Medeiros
as well as five grandchildren, the late Michael Shippee Jr. of Cranston , Giselle Soto of Johston, Christian Soto of Johnston , Jonathan Smith of Johnston and Samantha Arnold of Pawtucket . He also leaves behind two brothers James Medeiros of East Providence and Joseph Medeiros of Riverside as well as sisters Laura Rego of Swansae and Darlene Rieger of Swansea. Services will be held at Smith-Mason Funeral Home October 29, 2015 from 5-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Providence Animal Rescue League in Michael's name.
