Clark, Manfred (Manny) 82 Formally of Fenner Avenue Riverside died peacefully 9/6/2015 at the RI Veteran's Home in Bristol. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Manfred and Evelyn (Cole) Clark. He lived in Riverside most of his life. He worked at the Eleanor Slater Hospital until retiring. He was a member of the Riverside Congregational Church. Manny was a dog lover and dedicated Uncle to his three nephews; Robert V Clark of Warren, Stephen M Clark of Farmington CT and Brian W. Clark of Bristol. He was the former Commander of Riverside Post 10 American Legion in Riverside and a member of Post 8 in Barrington. Manny had a life long commitment to veterans causes nationwide and was very active throughout Rhode Island's American Legion's posts. At the time of his death he was the President of the Rhode Island Veterans Home Resident's Council. Manfred's family would like to formally acknowledge all of the nurses and staff at the Rhode Island Veteran's Home in Bristol for their devotion and care to this special man. Whom they treated as an extended family member of their own in his last years of his life. The funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM in the Smith-Mason Funeral Home 398 Willett Avenue Riverside. Burial with Military Honors will be in Little Neck Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions can be made to Operation Stand Down RI 1010 Hartford Avenue
