Lottie L. Chappell Obituary

Chappell, Lottie L., 96, formerly of Riverside, peacefully passed away on February 25, 2016 at South Kingstown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Glen L. Chappell.

She was born in Pforzheim, Germany and immigrated to this country at age 7. Her parents were the late Karl and Emma (Hafner) Eberle.

She previously worked for the Speidel Corporation. Lottie was an avid gardener, baker, sewing enthusiast and skilled fisher-woman. She was also involved with dog care and grooming.

She is survived by her son and wife, Lance and Laura Chappell of Narragansett and daughter, Paula Chappell of Florida. Her sister Hilda Barlow of Rumford and nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister Gertrude Bothner, and son-in-laws Robert Quilitzsch and Robert Hitchcock.

At the request of the family, her funeral will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the RI Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Riverside, RI.
