Joseph C. Tanzi Sr.

Joseph C. Tanzi Sr. 69 of Riverside, died Sunday, October 22, 2023, peacefully at his home. He was an East Providence resident his entire life. He was the son of the late Joseph and Agnes Tanzi of Riverside.  He was the husband of the late Joan E. Tanzi (Garvin).  He leaves three children; Nicole and her husband Jack Perry of Riverside, Joseph Jr. and his wife Michelle Tanzi of Riverside and Cindy-Lee and her husband Kenny Correia of East Providence; six grandchildren; Joseph, Sierra, Dylan, Caterina, Nathan and Jacob and one great grandson, Ethan. He is survived by his sister Iris Meehan of Riverside and Michael Tanzi of New Hampshire.

Joe was a dedicated employee of Ronnie’s Auto Repair and Riverside Automotive in Riverside until 2020 when he retired. He enjoyed camping with family and friends for many years, traveling with his wife and spending time with his children and grandchildren.  He will be missed dearly by his friends and family.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023, from 3:00 PM-7:00 PM in the Smith-Mason Funeral Home, 398 Willett Ave, Riverside, RI. 02915. A Funeral Service will be held in Smith-Mason on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at 10:00 AM.. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Groden Center, Inc. at 610 Manton Ave in Providence, RI 02909.
