Furtado, Joseph, 71, of East Providence, RI, passed peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on December 15th, 2015. Joe is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Diana and his devoted son Joseph.
He attended Providence College and received his degree in IT from Johnson & Wales University. He worked at General Electric for over 33 years and was an honorably discharged Vietnam veteran. He truly exemplified kindness, caring and patience. Joe’s family was his pride and joy and he was truly one of earth’s angels. He was a wonderful man who would do anything for anyone in need.
He was the brother of Shirley Medeiros of Seekonk, MA, and the late Mary Freitas. Services will be private.
