Dyson, John L. Jr. 85 of Riverside, R.I passed away on March 18, 2016. He was the husband of the late Rhoda Dyson (Holbrook). They were married 65 years. John was an active member of the Riverside Congregational Church where he served as Treasurer. He also served on multiple boards and taught Sunday school. He worked many years for the Amica Insurance Company as a Department Head.

Besides his wife he leaves behind a son, David Dyson of Riverside, a brother, Robert and his wife, Louise, a step sister Barbara Mason of East Providence and John’s sister-in-law, Janice Mann of Riverside. He leaves two Grandchildren, two Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. John was also the father to the late Donna Dyson, the son to the late John and Melva Dyson Sr., and best friend to the late Donald Mann.

A private funeral service will be held in the Smith-Mason Funeral Home in Riverside. In lieu of flowers, donations to Riverside Congregational Church, 15 Oak Ave, Riverside, RI 02915, would be appreciated.
