Jason Viall Roberts,SSG retired,Born Jan.25,1973 and Passed away on August 29,2015.
Jay leaves his parents Alan and Janice Roberts,fiancee Kate Vohs,Aunt Missy Golomb,cousins Geff and Elise Golomb,Carrie Allen,Katie Allen,Uncle Douglas Allen,Stepgrandmother Carol Roberts and former wife
Jill Roberts. He also leaves many friends.
Jay graduated from Barrington High School where he was a member of the wrestling team. He was also a member of the NE Iron Works Union.
Jay joined the R.I. National Guard in 2003. He loved being a soldier. He achieved the rank of Staff Sargent.Jason served in both Iraq and Afghanistan. He was awarded many medals and ribbons while serving including the Bronze Star,two Purple Hearts and Army Accommodation Medals.
Jason will always be remembered for his love of soldering and being there for anyone in need at anytime.
Jay's family and friends will forever love and miss him.
