Irene Caroline (Rooney) McNally passed away on June 10, 2019. A resident of Riverside for many years she was also a  former  resident of Barrington for 59 years. She was the wife for 73 years of Hervey V. McNally and the daughter of the late Russell L. and Anna K. (Goeckel) Rooney. She was the step-daughter of the late Frieda Jaeger.

She leaves a son, Alan H. McNally, his wife Linda of Harrisville, RI  two step-grandson’s, and four step-great-grandchildren;  a son, Steven R. McNally of Poulsbo, Washington State, two daughters, Carol A. Janus, her husband Robert of Hope, RI and Janice E.  McNally  of Melbourne, Florida,  a sister Evelyn A. Cuddigan  of Seekonk, MA. and Doris M Jannke of Melbourne Beach, Florida and the late Russell L Rooney Jr. and a late step-brother, Walter E. Jager. Irene also leaves many nieces and nephews.

Irene was a life long member of the Barrington United Methodist Church and was involved many church functions. She was also an avid painter.

There will be a gathering on Thursday June 13, 2019 at 10:00 AM in the Smith-Mason Funeral Home, 398 Willett Ave, Riverside, RI 02915 to which relatives an friends are invited, followed by a Graveside Service at Forest Chapel Cemetery Nyatt Road , Barrington, RI 02806 at 11:30 AM.

And thus my time, my season has ended.
