Walmsley, George D. 83, passed away Monday March 28, 2016 at the R.I. Veteran’s Home in Bristol, R.I. George was the son of the late George H. and Ethel (Tarbox) Walmsley. He was a Navy Veteran serving during the Korean War, a member of the YMCA Bowling League, and an avid fisherman.

Besides his late parents, George leaves a brother Robert Walmsley of Warwick, a late brother Charles Walmsley, a late sister Elizabeth Hassell of Riverside, and nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Thursday at 11:00 am in the Smith-Mason Funeral Home, 398 Willett Ave, Riverside, RI 02915. Visiting hours will be from 10:00 am to which relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be in Olivet Cemetery in East Providence, RI.
