David D. Peterson

David D. Peterson 68,  of Riverside, R.I. passed away on Monday,  February 27, 2023 at the Brentwood Nursing home, Warwick,  R.I.

David was born in Providence, R.I. in 1954 to Rudolph, E and Gloria (Newhall) Peterson. He was a graduate of East Providence High School class of 1972. He received his bachelor’s degree in 1976 followed by a masters degree in accounting, both from Providence College. David spent the majority of his career working for the State of Rhode Island as an auditor in the department of Administration before retiring.

A life long resident of Riverside he was an avid sports fan following the Redsoxs, Patriots, Bruins and Providence College Friars.  He was most passionate about the Bruins and Friar Hockey.

David is survived by his loving brother Russell E, Peterson also of Riverside.

Funeral and burial will be private.
