Clinton Kelly Obituary

Clinton Ray Kelly, born November 10, 1936, formerly of 50 Burton Avenue in Riverside, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2025. He was the devoted husband of the late Ansonetta Kelly.

Born in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, Clinton was the son of the late Burton Kelly and Lela Kelly, and the brother of the late Kenneth Kelly and Stephen Kelly. He moved to Riverside more than 70 years ago, where he built a life centered on family and steady work.

Clinton proudly served in the United States Navy from November 1956 to October 1960, including honorable service aboard the U.S.S. Tarawa (CVS-40). After completing his military service, he settled in Riverside, where he raised his family and worked for many years as a welder, a profession he approached with dedication and craftsmanship.

He enjoyed the simple pleasures that brought him joy: fishing, traveling to Cape Cod, and visiting New England lighthouses. He especially cherished his time as a member of the Pomham Rocks Lighthouse community. Clinton also loved spending time with family and friends, often sharing meals at local restaurants and embracing every opportunity to be with the people he cared for.

Clinton leaves behind a large and loving family who will forever cherish his memory. He is survived by his children Michael Kelly and his wife Lisa Golia, Deborah Everett and her husband Brian Everett, and Brian Kelly and his wife Amy Kelly. His grandchildren include Kelly Pye and her husband Jon Pye, Katherine Boggs and her husband Christopher Boggs, Holly Everett and her husband Daniel Jaikes, and Ashley McShane and her husband Joshua McShane. His great-grandchildren include Maxwell Pye, Norah Pye, Kenneth Pye, Hazel Boggs, Jackson Haley, Jameson McShane, and Jacob McShane.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 12 at 10:00 AM at Smith-Mason Funeral Home, 398 Willett Avenue, Riverside, RI 02915.
