Benet M. Mainella, died peacefully Wednesday, November 20, 2024. He was 83 years old. He was born November 7, 1941 in Providence, RI to Michael and Victoria Mainella, and was raised in Barrington, RI. Benet graduated from Barrington High School and the University of Rhode Island with a degree in Engineering. After his undergraduate studies, Benet received his Masters in Business Administration from Bryant College. He also served in the United States Army where he was stationed in Korea.
Benet loved his life on the water and in nature. He was an avid boater, a collector of hand carved duck decoys, and enjoyed sketching and water color painting. He also greatly enjoyed his yoga class and was famous for his festive contributions on Halloween.
Benet is survived by his wife, Vivian Woolf-Mainella of Barrington, his children and step-children, David Mainella, Kristin Mainella, Jessica Bonath, and Gillian Woolf; his brother Stephen Mainella; four grandchildren; and his beloved dog Oliver.
