DeSousa, Antonio “Tony, 72 of Wamsutta Avenue Barrington died suddenly on Tuesday June 30th . He was the husband of Carol (Montgomery) DeSousa and they had been married for 55 years. Born in Bristol, he was a son of the late Antone and Caroline (Barboza) DeSousa. Tony had worked at the former Bill’s Market in Barrington then later he was the Owner of A
ntonio’s Market, Inc. in Barrington. He then became the Purchasing Agent for the Mount Washington Hotel in New Hampshire. The past 8 years he worked for in logistics for Citizens Bank. Tony was a Nascar and Red Sox fan and adored his grandchildren, Ryan and Marisa Silva. Besides his wife he leaves two daughters, Karen DeSousa of Barrington, Doreen Silva (Kevin) of East Providence and two brothers Joseph and Leonard Sousa. He was also the brother of the late Richard Sousa and Irene Leiter. A memorial Service celebrating Tony’s life will be held on Tuesday at 11 AM in the Smith-Mason Funeral Home 398 Willett Avenue Riverside. Calling hours are from 10 to ll AM on Tuesday. In lieu of Flowers memorial contributions to Meeting Street School 1000 Eddy Street Providence, RI 02905-4739.
