Joseph A. Medeiros

Joseph A. Medeiros passed away at home on July 15, 2019 surrounded by his wife Jean-Elise and five children , Sabrina, Lila, Ariel, Joseph and Melissa. Joe was born in Providence, RI and was the son of the late Joseph S. Medeiros and Beverly Medeiros. He is also survived by his brother Jeffrey. He has many nephews and one niece. He and Jean-Elise married in 1997 and lived for the last nine years in Barrington, RI. He assisted in coaching Little League Baseball which gave him an immense amount of joy. He also participated for several years with activities related to Pop Warner Football and Cheer. Wherever his children were is where he wanted to be. He was never too tired to play with them, encourage and teach them anything he could. He worked as a truck driver for many years with Dunkin' Donuts where he made lifelong friends. He joined Arpin Van Lines as a compliance specialist several years ago and gained more friends that have helped him through much of his difficult times. He loved to play golf when he took some time for himself. Joe was a man with many friends since childhood and often talked about his days with them from grammar school through high school. He was always a man to help a friend and loved to talk with them. Joe was a good friend, an honest and hard working man who loved his family with every fiber of his being. His children are his greatest legacy.

Calling Hours will be held Monday, July 22, 2019 from 4:00-8:00 PM in the Smith-Mason Funeral Home, 398 Willett Avenue, Riverside, RI 02915. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at 10:00 AM in Saint Agnes Church, 100 Chatham Street, Providence, RI 02904. Burial to follow in Saint Francis Cemetery, 163 Smithfield Ave, Pawtucket, RI 02860.
