Osborne Joan D. (Drowns) 60 of Metropolitan Park Drive Riverside passed away Thursday at home. She was the loving wife of Robert S.Osborne for 38 years. Born in Brooklyn, NY the daughter of the late Stephen and Harriet (Bergman) Drowns. Joan was a CNA for many nursing homes in East Providence. She was most recently a homemaker. Joan enjoyed quilting, reading, and traveling with her husband. Besides her husband she is survived by one son Michael Osborne of Warwick, one daughter Barbara-Jean Osborne-Dougan of Warwick, one brother Charles Drowns, three sisters Barbara Cuschieri, Dorothea Nocella, Harriett deGruyl all of Long Island, NY and 5 grandchildren Meagan E. Timothy A. and Samantha A. Dougan and Nickolas K., Ashley M. Osborne. A funeral service will be held Monday at 10 AM in the Smith-Mason Funeral Home 398 Willett Avenue Riverside. Calling hours will be held Sunday from 4-6PM. Burial will be in Rhode Island Veteran’s Cemetery Exeter.
