James ( Jim ) A. DuFault, age 69, passed away at home in Punta Gorda Fla. after a long battle with cancer. Jim is survived by his wife, Judith DuFault (of 44 years), their two children: Carl & Mark DuFault. He also leaves behind his Sister & Brother in law Marylin & Pat Mulvihill, Sister in law Carol Berard, and his future Son in Law Steven Simas. Jim was pre-deceased by his brother Robert DuFault. He also leaves behind many nephews and nieces. He was the son of Helen B. DuFault Lenihan & Armand E. DuFault and step son of Vincent A. Lenihan. Growing up in Pawtucket RI, he attended St. Leos School & Pawtucket Vocational, and then entered into the armed forces. He served in the Navy aboard the USS St. Paul as a veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked at the East Providence Housing Authority for 30 years in the maintenance department. During his employment, he developed a passion and love for his work, those he worked with, and residents. He retired in 2013 when he moved to Punta Gorda, Florida with his wife Judith for their retirement. He was an avid reader, had a unique sense of humor, a person who loved to make people laugh, and loved to go deep sea fishing with his coworkers. He was beloved by all who met and knew him, and will be dearly missed by all.
A service will be held on Monday September 17, 2018 at 12:00 PM in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter, RI 02822. (If attending the service please plan to meet at the Administration Building parking lot, located in the beginning of the cemetery for 11:45 am) Reception will be at 45 Urban Ave. #5N. Providence, RI. 401-699-6634 Look for the American Flag out front & and enter the back yard. Parking is on the street.GPS will send you to the Pawtucket side. People need to be aware they are looking for a brick building with a green awning. Look for the American Flag out front.
