Genevieve R. "Sister" (Doyle) DeVall

DeVall (Doyle), Genevieve (1940-2019).  It is with profound sadness that the family of Gen (Sister) announces her passing on December 6, 2019 at the age of 79.

Born in Providence, RI on September 11, 1940, she was the daughter of William F. Doyle and Genevieve (LaVallee) Doyle.  She was the wife of the late Frank DeVall, Sr.  She was predeceased by her only sibling, Marilyn Gendreau (mother of Francis Rose).

She is survived by her three children:  Cheryl Balasco (Anthony F. Balasco, Jr.) of Seekonk, MA, Marilyn Raposa of East Providence, RI and Frank DeVall, Jr. (Grace DeVall) of Riverside, RI.  She had six grandchildren:  William F. Delaney, III, Michael Raposa, II, Megan Raposa, Andrew DeVall, Catherine Balasco and Cameron DeVall.  She was the great-grandmother of one:  Camila Raposa.

She had been a resident of Riverside, RI since 1964 and worked at Trifari Jewelry for 20 years in the Packaging Dept.  She made many lifelong friends while being employed at Trifari Jewelry that she remained friends with up until her passing.

Funeral Services will be held at St. Brendan’s Church, 60 Turner Ave., Riverside, RI 02806 on Friday, December 13, 2019 at 10:00 AM to which relatives and friends are invited.
