Sally B. Withington

Sally B. Withington, 75, of Riverside and formerly of Barrington, passed peacefully on Wednesday, April 3 in the care of Hope Health Hospice with her children by her side.

Born in Attleboro, MA on December 26, 1948, Sally was the daughter of the late Jean (Haywood) and George E. Withington III.  Sally is survived by her children, Sarah W. Delekta and Peter A. Delekta.  She is also survived by her sisters, Lynne W. Fernandes, and Anne W. Kesner.  She is predeceased by her sisters, Judith Carson, and Leslie W. Ferland.  She also leaves several nieces and nephews and was extremely proud of all of them.

Sally took great pride in her chosen profession as a Surgical Scheduler for several large medical practices and had retired from Broadway OB/GYN several years ago.  Sally was also an active volunteer for many of her children’s school activities and sports. 

During the summers, Sally was the happiest when she was at Second Beach in Newport with a good book and family and friends. Sally took full advantage of Rhode Island’s beautiful coastline and truly enjoyed simply watching the ocean and the sailboat races from her deck.
