Gail L. Mason

Mason, Gail L. 75 of Riverside, RI died peacefully in the arms of family and friends on Tuesday March 27, 2018. She was surrounded by love She was the beloved daughter of the late Meredith F. Donahue, Chester Mason and her Stepfather, Vincent J. Donahue. In her younger years Gail lived and went to school in Seekonk, MA. Gail lived in Riverside, RI for the last Fifty plus years.

Gail worked for many years at the Fogarty center in North Providence, RI.  She was a communicant of Saint Mark’s Church in Riverside, RI.  Gail held many volunteer positions throughout her life yet the one she most loved was playing the keyboard at Nursing homes and at family and friends gatherings. Gail had many gifts that she freely shared with others. She was an Artist, painting flowers and landscapes. She loved to read and write but most of all Gail had perfect pitch and loved playing the piano and reading music. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved a good joke. Where ever Gail went she made friends and had many great friends at the Riverside Dunkin Donuts.

Gail was a member of the former Summit Club of RI and the United Cerebral Palsy of Pawtucket. Gail enjoyed  travelling  throughout  the United States following the US skating teams. She also loved her trips to Europe and Canada. Gail was an excellent card player.

Gail will be greatly missed by her caregiver cousin, Robin Peacock and cousin George F. Fallon, Jr., her best friend and caregiver Linda Rodrigues. Gail had so many wonderful people involved in her life Ola and Ellen from UCP and Freda and Lisa from Hope Hospice & Palliative Care.

A funeral Service will be held on Tuesday,  April 3, 2018 at 11:45 AM in Gate of Heaven Cemetery Chapel 550 Wampanoag Trail East Providence, RI 02915. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday April 3, 2018 from 10:15 AM to 11:15 AM at the Smith-Mason Funeral Home 398 Willett Ave Riverside, RI 02915.
